Tonight's mission for squad night is "BR's Death Maze 2008", his first for ArmA. BR has been a map editor for the OFP side of the Clan for a while, but now that he has ArmA, he's using his skills for both. Good Show!

I had a chance to play on the OFP side, I must say, aside from the graphics, controls, and minor glitches, I had fun. Of course I prefer ArmA, but if you have a copy of OFP, I would suggest loading it up and go out and game with the OFP side on Friday nights during thier squad night. You can also purchase OFP at Amazon for around $20.00 USD.

Happy New Year from the Clan of Brothers!

Oh Happy Day,

 A new Clan of Brothers ArmA Server has arrived, it will be hosted by myinternetservices.com , and Boot Jack Bill. The cost is $48.00 per month, 16 slots, and hopefully a butt load of bandwidth. It is based in Chicago so ping times will vary, except for those close to Chicago. I picked the location due to it being a centralized part of the USA, and I live here. I will accept donations through the Clan of Brothers paypal to assist me in paying for the server, and I thank you ahead of time for donating what you can.

The teamspeak and cobsquad site are still running from Hellion's location, this is just the server so I'm hoping it works out ok for all of us who enjoy the game.

You can find the server by filtering for the Clan of Brothers in your multiplayer options.

This just in,

Apparently GeneralCarver was banned, by what are reports indicate, for one month from www.armaholic.com. Armaholic has no reply. Word on the beat is that GeneralCarver gave some "words of wisdom" in the forums much to the dislike of some of the moderators. More in the general forums on this issue.

As all of you know we have used Addons in missions for sometime off and on. Recently we have decided to upon up Addon use again. However, we have had some technical issues hosting these addon files from our website. However, we have selected a new file hosting service which our members can access for our custom addons and files.

Clan of Brothers now has a File Front account. This is a free file hosting service geared towards the gaming community. It will work perfect for us as it is located off site from our website and has unlimited upload, download, and storage space.

From now on all approved COB addons for Armed Assault will be posted on this website for download. Note that it is not required for you to have a File Front user account to access these downloads. The addons are divided up under type as you will see when you visit the website. Enjoy.

At Ease Everyone,

As newly appointed CO of the ArmA Division, I have consulted with other members under my administration and have formed a new volunteer group for our ArmA playing members to participate in.


The Weekly Custom Mission Team

This team will produce small, single senerio, cooperative maps on a weekly basis to be played at our weekly official meeting time. Map making duties are rotated between volunteers on a weekly basis.
